The imagery was amazing and I feel like I didn't even need to see the pictures to know what you were talking about.

The shoe picture was exceptionally chilling though. When I think of genocide, it's generally decades ago and I feel as though I can't relate. It was so long ago. And we've all seen the pictures of the shoes of the victims and most of us have even seen the shoes themselves, in museums. But to see shoes that, like you said, are shoes that somebody our age would wear.. kinda puts things into perspective.

We walk around here in America with our "problems" thinking we're so troubled and there are people being brutally murdered in mass quantities half the world away.

When I was in France, we went to the catacombs and the bones lined up were so eerie to me. These people were just "normal" dead people. You know, people who died from old age and everyday causes of death.

As I always seem to, i'm writing my own blog within your blog, so i'm going to stop here:

The pictures are amazing and the words are touching. My heart was heavy all day for the team. I know your hearts were heavy. The Lord's was pleased to see you all bring honor to those that suffered by just caring that they died. He loves them too! What an amazing day. Your hearts will never be the same. You have all grown. Take the lives of those lost and use their courage to go forward and make a difference in this world. I do not know many of you but love you so much. Praying daily God will keep you safe and continue to challenge you.
